Weekly Online Classes

In Orot’s weekly online classes, students develop comfort and confidence delving into Jewish wisdom and  texts, within the context of a warm classroom community.

Students can join the Orot community from anywhere around the world and learn from the comforts of their home. The different learning series are centered on specific themes, with each class probing essential questions while drawing forth personally-relevant meaning for our lived experiences. The classes provide the space and community to dive into the core questions of what it means to be human and Jewish, while offering teachings and tools from our Jewish tradition to enrich our daily lives.

“I came to Orot looking for a way to add text study to my personal and professional practice.  What I found was more than I could have expected.  Each session I attend becomes a sacred space of learning. The educators bring texts that are both intellectually stimulating for a group discussion as well as thought-provoking on a personal, more intimate level. They create unique opportunities to experience a thoughtful community of learners, personal and spiritual connections to Judaism, and an openness to new learning while remaining grounded in our rich textual tradition. I leave every session feeling that I have grown as a person and learned more about Judaism and my place within it.”
