Staying Afloat: Jewish Mindfulness Teachings from the Siddur for Navigating Rough Seas

Taught by Jordan Bendat Appell

$125

Wednesday evenings, Nov. 13, 20, 27 and Dec. 4

7:30-9:00 PM CT

Being a human being is challenging even under the best of circumstances. When the world feels like a tumultuous, foreboding sea, we need all the help we can get to sail with wisdom, stability and open heartedness.  In this series, we will focus on teachings drawn from the siddur (prayer book), and unpack them as mindfulness practices.

Together, we will study and discuss passages from the siddur and other classical and contemporary texts (all with English translation) and derive Jewish mindfulness practices that flow from these sources –  all intended to deepen our capacity for staying afloat and actively navigating the tumultuous waters of life.
