From Death to Life: Finding Our Way from Yom Kippur to Sukkot

Class in Memory of Robert Minkus z”l

Each year, we make the transition from Yom Kippur to Sukkot, from the holiday when we rehearse our own deaths to the holiday which requires us to actively create and build and invite joy into our lives. How can we understand this transition, from one festival to the next, in a way that will bring us deeper meaning and help us intentionally cultivate the lives we want?

This class will explore Jewish and secular teachings about these festivals, as well as the themes of death and life, release and joy, stripping ourselves bare and opening ourselves to the world.
