In this 4-week session, we will use this special time of year in the Jewish calendar as an opportunity to check in and recommit to cultivating parenting practices that create families where compassion, connection, and understanding are at the center. This time period - between Passover and the holiday of Shavuot - offers an invitation for personal growth. It is a time to step back and slow down and ask new questions that will help us nurture ourselves as parents and nurture our families.
Using the framework of the omer and the middot (the different qualities of being), we will explore the following topics:
Chesed: Creating Space for Lovingkindness in our Daily Parenting Lives
Gevurah: Parenting from a place of Authentic Strength
Tiferet: Waking Up to Beauty in the Messy Mundane
Hod: Softening our Hearts and Accepting the Unknown
Each session will integrate Jewish wisdom with mindfulness techniques and parenting tips from the positive parenting approach and will leave space for sharing parenting challenges you are facing.
Open to all - alums of the core program and those who are new to Orot’s Peaceful Parent. Open to all parents of children ages 1-21 years.
Cost: $75
