Called to Act: nurturing a spirituality of activism

How do we create a spirituality of activism? It is difficult to avoid the ills our world is facing: social and economic inequity, environmental degradation, intolerance and hatred of the other to name just a few. Our tradition calls us to see the brokenness and work to bring light to those dark places. In this class, we will explore the texts and teachings from our tradition that compel us to repair the cracks and nurture the light into brighter illumination through our active work. This class will pull the thread from text to practice, supporting our efforts to attune ourselves to the issues that are calling to our hearts and create a roadmap for activism, on a small or large scale.
