Experts everywhere are recommending that people need to “do nothing” on a regular basis in order to refuel, refresh and…be more productive.  In this discussion group we will explore some of Judaism’s ancient and not so ancient wisdom on this subject. How can I create a space in my day or my week to pause and re-ensoul myself? How can I imagine a new form of Shabbat and bring it into my life in a way that is meaningful?

You do not need to have experience in Jewish study to join this group. We will be discussing an assortment of Jewish sources from many centuries and places; narrative, legal, poetic and artistic and perhaps come to some radical new understandings of how to make them work.
