Exploring Sexual Boundaries in Rabbinic Literature: an interactive workshop of text and art

  • Sketchpad Chicago 4700 North Ravenswood Avenue, Suite B Chicago, IL, 60640 United States (map)

With visiting Orot teacher, Sarah Palmer

February 7th | 6:00 - 7:30 pm | Sketchpad - 4700 N. Ravenswood, suite B, Chicago

How do we understand sexuality within a Jewish framework? In this workshop, we will explore seemingly contradictory texts, ask whether they are relevant to us today, and consider the consequences of sexuality becoming a matter of public discourse. The session will integrate hands-on art-making as a medium for exploring the meaning of these boundary-pushing texts and ideas.
